The community of Springbank Hill is located on the western edge of Calgary, bordered by 17th Avenue to the north, Glenmore Trail to the east, 69th St. SW to the South and Stanley Trail Corridor to the west. The community was annexed from the municipal district of Rockyview in 1994, and has been undergoing continuous development. The Springbank Hill community association was formally created on February 1, 2001. Springbank Hill is one of Calgary’s 5 largest communities in terms of area. The area offers panoramic views of the Foothills and Rocky Mountains, there is quick access from the area to major roadways and shopping facilities. The area also has a diversity of land usage, from acreages to new single detached residences and multifamily housing.
The Springbank Hill Community Association is governed by an elected volunteer Board of Directors, who oversee the direction of and run the organization, which includes everything from responding to traffic concerns, planning community events, responding to development requests and concerns, managing community ice rinks and adding to community recreational amenities.
