Zoolights at Calgary Zoo 2017
ZOOLIGHTS: The glow starts with you
Calgary’s brightest holiday tradition is back for its 20th year and is sure to be the most glow-tastic one yet. This year’s ZOOLIGHTS is presented by JSS Barristers. We’ll be glowing for seven weeks of perfect family-friendly fun that gives back to animal conservation. We’re committed to helping you enjoy this incredible event while making the world a better place.
We’re brightening your ZOOLIGHTS experience with enchanting new themes and special guests. Of course, we’re bringing back the classic activities you’ve come to love and have added in some new ones designed to light you up. You’ll find games on migration, hibernation and adaptation to teach you about conservation and animal behaviours all while having a sparkling good time.
Wander around Wonderland.
Light up your smile indoors and out with the ENMAX Conservatory activities and displays with Alice and her magical friends from Wonderland. The ENMAX Conservatory will be divided into three sections highlighting Santa in the Queen’s court, the Mad Hatter’s tea party in the butterfly garden, and down the rabbit hole in the Garden of Life.
Did you know there are 1.5 million twinkling lights to create unforgettable romantic moments all over the zoo? It takes about 90 minutes to fully experience the displays, which is a lot of canoodling.
Where else can you create wonderful memories and make the world a better place? This year you can skate, craft, sip hot chocolate by the fire, see the Mad Hatter in Wonderland, take your picture with Santa and help support wildlife conservation at the same time. Plus, everything is included with the price of admission—except hot cocoa and snacks.
