The community also targets the needs of local families by providing tot lots and parks. The lack of a building has not prevented the association from being extremely active in the community. Outdoor sports and dance classes are also offered. The community association also acts as an advocate for residents. Its effectiveness is demonstrated by the fact that Rocky Ridge and Royal Oak got bus service even before older neighbouring communities received theirs. To finance these programs and endeavors, the community has regular fundraising casinos.
